Wire Basket Inspection
A customer brought to us the need to be able to reverse engineer a wire basket into a cad model for modification prior to production and also wanted to be able to inspect the manufactured part. We met the challenge by using a MicroScribe and TeZetCAD to do the initial reverse engineering. TeZetCAD brings to the table a very simple and easy method to capture wire, tube, and hose data. Then the part was exported to SolidWorks and Rhino for further modification. The next step was to turn to the MicroScribe and MobiGage> to complete the manufactured inspection. Using the MicroScribe in combination with TeZetCAD and MobiGage software makes a complete reverse engineering and inspection system.
